“I am an Alaskan lampwork glass artist who has always been involved with media that allowed me to play with color, such as weaving, embroidery, and working with fabrics. Inspired by the Alaskan Native beadwork around me, I took up seed beadwork, which sparked my interest in collectible beads and creating jewelry. I then studied lampwork beadmaking, which would allow for more originality in my jewelry designs.
Lampwork is the process of making handmade glass beads over a torch. The result is a one of a kind, collectible little treasure. I am inspired by the order of chaos, fractal imagery, and organic patterns in the Alaskan landscape.”
